<p>Works in the public domain have no copyright restrictions. This can
be the result of intellectual property rights expiring or being
forfeited. In the case of the latter, authors have used the term
<em>uncopyright</em> to describe their act of relinquishing

with the GPL</a>). Pixabay switched to the new license <a
href="https://pixabay.com/forum/official-pixabay-news-2/the-pixabay-license-7823/">in
2019</a>. Prior to that change, Pixabay used the <a
href="https://web.archive.org/web/20190108204845/https://pixabay.com/en/service/terms/">CC0
waiver</a>. Therefore, old images are <a
